Senjyu Sushi..

Today Vince and me decided to head off for a day out at the cinema since it has been some time we were last at the cinema (No..not so long also. Our last movie was er..Sniper by Edison Chen..Haha..Lots of excuses we have). So after a few days of being not able to get hold of tickets for "Angel & Demons" today was our lucky day. We manage to grab 2 seats for the 3.20pm show at Sunway Pyramid. As we arrived at Sunway Pyramid during noon, the place was already packed and finding a parking is damn bloody hard even the valet parkings are fully occupied. No luck so just go scouting for a parking. All of a sudden, "Hubby..the light there is green..". So being the rempit kaki he rempit all the way to the parking only to hear me cursing. No you guys guessed wrong. The parking space was not taken. Light was still green. But there's a bloody car parked so bloody inside the front of the car's bout to kiss the wall in front of it thus causing the light to remain green. Damn!! Can't help cursing~~
But god does love me and just as we were bout to scount somewhere else we heard the beloved "beep beep" sound. The sound of someone unlocking the car. Turn the right. YEAH!! someone's leaving. Being the gan chiong aunty type i quickly say "Lou gong..faster..signal signal". Haha. Yeah~~ Got parking. When we arrived at the retail podium it was so crowded. What to do..weekend ma... So as usual we think "So what to eat??". Again being the aunty I suggested "Eh..I got Senjyu Sushi voucher..we go there la. Can save money also." Then we headed there. Hoho. 2nd time there. I like it there. It's got a nice enviroment.
The food is nice also. We decided to just grab the items from the convenyor belt. Ordered handrolls and also a Kimchi Beef noodle for Vince (last time we tried the salmon don..didn't like it that much). I opted for the soft shell crab handroll while Rempit Kaki went for the salmon & salmon roe..The soft shell crab was great. The funny thing is the shop was rupervisor served us our handrolls. He must have noticed I was snapping every single thing before looking into them as if inspecting for traces of poison so he turned back to our table and told me "I think it's better you eat the soft shell crab handroll first before it gets cold, cos when it's cold it's not nice. I feel it's geli. I tried it before. You eat the handroll first." So i thanked him for his advise and started attacking my handroll. It was really crunchy. Liked it to every bit. Yummy~~I almost wanted another one until Vince looked at me with me "HOW TO KURUS LIKE TAT"look. Oo..warning. So I hold back. Haha. Thank you lou gong. Hahahahah..They have this other soft shell crab thingy which was nice..even had crab roe in it..Slurps~~ Kimchi beed noodle was great also. The next time I go there I wanna try the Beef Sukiyaki. Looks nice. Hehe.
Soft Shell Crab Handroll

Salmon & Salmon Roe Handroll

Don't know what it's called but has got fried soft shell crab & crab roe. (Quite costly though. RM10.00 for 2 biji. Good thing Rempit Kaki can't bring himself to eat soft shell crab due to the way they were breed so I had it all for myself. It's good I told him the story of how they cut off all the crabs legs forcing them to change their skin thus becoming all soft..)

Don't know what is this. But I think it's something similar to California Maki but replaced the Ebiko with egg crepe and crab stick with salmon .

Kimchi Beef Soba (Suppose to be Udon. But I didn't like Udon so tricked Vince into changing to soba)

Quite a number of plates. Food was good. But lil pricy though..but still worth it.
After discount, the total bill came to bout RM50+. Still okie le.Hehe. Cos no need me to pay ma. Hehe. Thanks for lunch ya lou gong. Hehe.

Almost sneaked off with this while paying. Haha. No le..Just think it's cute.

Thank You Mr Postman..

One fine morning, while Vince was at work suddenly there was someone at the office door honking "BEEP BEEP~~" (motorcycle horn). Vince went to peep.."oh..it's Mr Postman" so unlock the door go out see what Mr Postman wanted. Mr Postman asked "En. Vince ada tak? Ada surat berdaftar kasi dia" Vince replied "Oh..Saya Vince.." while looking at the white envelope Mr Postman held in his hand and keeping his own fingers crossed. After going through the necessary procedures, Mr Postman passed the envelope to Vince. Haha. Guess what is it?? Without further delay, Vince tore open the envelope and started cursing. Yea Yea~~ You all guessed right...

It is a SAMAN for speeding..Haha. Yes he was unhappy about it as it is a 3 lane highway and the speed limit should not be 80 only..(Please note that he was doing 107 that time). The compound would cost RM300.00. Funny thing is that we notice that the thingy was dated 19th May 2009 and we received it on the 15th May 2009. Haha. Nevermind..Stilll have to pay. So being the good citizens we decided to pay on the same day itself. Haha. Thus, we made a trip to the IPD Petaling Jaya. Vince still can smile and say "Good also..Can ular..". Since I didn't need to work I decided to tag along since I never got saman before (Yea..trying to show off) and wanted to see the police station. Hehe.
So we had lunch first and then went to settle some other work related matters before heading to IPD PJ. Upon arrival we went to the parking lot nearby and another conversation struck with the parking attendant. "Boss. Mana mau pigi??" Vince politely replied "IPD PJ..". Then the parking attendant still want to continue his interogation "Pigi sana apa buat??" Vince can't help but look at him with the "what has it got to do with you" look but still replied "BAYAR SAMAN". Haha. The parking attendant then looked at his watch and replied "AIYO!!! sekarang baru 2.30pm le...Itu kaunter talak buka la...Pukul 3pm baru buka la..Ini hari dia orang rehat sampai 3pm..Lu boleh tunggu ka??" trying to hint tat if we go in and park out car first we would incur extra parking costs as the parking charges by half hourly basis. We had no other place to go so Vince just answered "Tak apa..saya park dalam tunggu." So we took the parking ticket and went to find for a parking space. The parking lot was full. There were several cars that were involved in accidents parked there. Some crushed beyond recognition. An eerie sight. I believe the poor chaps did not even survive the crash. We had to turn like 2-4 rounds before we got a space and the space was so small thus we sat in the car scouting for another car to leave before we shift our parking space. After sometime a car left and we charged to the new available space. But it was only 2.45 pm. With nothing to do we thought mayb we should slowly crawl over to the station and wait there. Upon arrival, the police there was kind and guided us the way to the settlement counter. At the settlement office, there were already several other motorists waiting and checking their summonses. The settlement counters resume operations at 2.45 pm. So I sat there while Vince waited in line to get a number while to check if the compound could be reduced. Haha. Good citizen ma. Pay on same day. Deserve some discount ma right??
Didn't take long for Vince's turn. When it was his turn, the uncle at the counter asked "Semak saman ke bayar saman??" Vince replied "Bayar. Saya terima ini. Kena di Kajang. Boleh bayar sini ka??" Uncle answered "Satu Malaysia boleh bayar.." I could not help laughing to myself. Vince then asked "Boleh kurang ka itu compound?" The uncle looked up at us and loudly repeated "BOLEH KURANG KA" and then grabbed the summon Vince was holding. He glanced through and started typing something into the computer in front of him then informed us "Ini boleh la..bayar RM200.00. Mau bayar sekarang ar??" Not wanting to waste anytime Vince just nodded and the uncle pushed the summon back to us together with a number and asked us to wait for our turn at the next counter. It was only mere seconds before our number was called out and we went over to the payment counter.
A minute later, it was all settled and we wer given a receipt. The whole process took less than 5 minutes. Quite fast eh. Haha. After leaving we went to the bank to do some depositing and cash replenishing. We got a parking space and even though we would only be away from the car for bout what..less than 10 minutes or probably 5?? we still went over to the parking ticket dispenser machine and got ourself a ticket. Rather pay the 60 cents parking than to get a RM40.00 compound. Haha. Lesson well learnt.

Cheating or Bug..You decide..Haha

Take a look at Fawwaz's GP..How on earth did it turned negative?? Haha. I can't help laughing..It's either he has been cheating and is being punished now or there's a bug bugging him..Haha..
Jessy seem's to be having some problem too..My restaurant had been operating without a room and now Jessy's restaurant is transparent..only the roof & signage is still there..even the lanterns are floating in the air...Haha...Magic she claim..hahah

Fire From Down Under..Solved..

Previously I wrote bout the fire at Pelita HERE about the unknown cause of fire. My sis went to work today and so happen her office is located just behind Pelita. Being the usual 8 po I can't resist asking "so..how?? the fire come from where??" and she informed me that actually a car, Pajero to be exact had out of a sudden caught fire and the whole car is burnt. The burnt car is still there till now so I'll see if I can try to drop by and get a pic. Haha. 8 po ar me...

Fire From Down Under..HAHA

Yesterday while going home from Sunway Pyramid with my sisters we thought of going for some drinks b4 we head home. Just as we were thinking what should we have, we sudd.enly saw a big crowd at Pelita SS15. Being the extreme 8 typical Malaysians we decided to have a closer look. We saw fire~~smoke~~police cars~~ and also the firemen~~~We were thinking "OMG!! Pelita's on fire"..we saw fire like those tai chou type..with lots of smoke..Too bad we can't go any nearer as the police were diverting the traffic elsewhere...At a closer view, actually not big fire le..small fire...but don''t know the cause of fire or where it's coming from..it looks like it's coming from down under (probably from the drain). Anywaiy, no injuries le else my sis would have to jump off the car and start showing off her doctor professionalism..HAHA

Level 20 Restaurant City

I've just achieved Level 20 in my restaurant named "TEMPTATIONS" on Facebook. Currently I have 8 staffs; 4 chefs, 3 waiters and 1 cleaner (for the washrooms). At the moment the popularity stands at 43.6/50. Not bad eh. I feel proud too. Haha. In Temptations, we serve Royal Lobster Soup (Level 10) as starters, Royal Tuna Steak with Vegetables (Level 10) as main course and last but not least Delicious Exotic Fruit Skewers (Level 5) as dessert. At the moment the chefs of Temptations are going through a tough series of training to serve the customers with an irresistable dish of Simple Pork & Apple Chops. Yummy isn't it.

Royal Lobster Soup

Royal Tuna Steak with Vegetables

Delicious Exotic Fruit Skewers

Standard Pork & Apple Chops
P/S : I'm now hunting for Pork, Onions, Apples, Kiwis..Please do let me know if you have them and are willing to trade..Hehe.. :P

Missing The Roof..

As known, I've been playing Restaurant City in Facebook for some time. And recently I noticed something..My restaurant roof is MISSING!!! Haha. Funny isn't it?? And I get comments & messages from everyone telling me I'm so poor I can't even afford a roof. I wanted to put one back but it still does not appear. Must be some bug or somtehing. Anyway, it's back to normal now and my customers don't have to be worried about getting wet in the rain or getting a heat stroke from the sun..HAHA

Evil Lady Boss

Logged into Restaurant City in Facebook (P/S: Please be warned that this game is kinda addictive) awhile ago and was browsing through which friend's restaurant I had yet to visit so I could grab another ingredient for my dish. Then I was thinking, "Hmm...Did I visit Cammie's restaurant? Nvm..Try visit. See got what inside". So I clicked and enter the restaurant to get a shock. Apparently she had hired me as the cook in her restaurant and she made me work all day but provided NEITHER REST NOR FOOD!!! Now look at me lying there motionless obviously on strike in order to get proper rest or some food..

Dear Si Tau Po..Please please let me rest or feed me...I tu chi er~~~Wo mei you energy work liow~~
HAHA~~you evil lady boss!! Now better do what you're supposed to do before I report you to the relevant departments!!
By the way, I'm making pork chops recently so I'm in need of onions, apples & pork. Please do trade with me if you have supply and don't need it. Haha. Thanks in advance.

Pay Day & Lunch

Today I was to drop by my ex-office as my final cheque is ready..Thank god~~Hahaha..$$$$$. Since I was dropping by I decided to have lunch with the other inmates so I gave them a call yesterday to make the necessary arrangements (tsk tsk~~so they can find excuses and sneak out from prison). Upon arrival, I headed to collect my car park deposit first. Met up with Pritam the receptionist. Glad to see her again..she seem so down cos I never manage to have a proper farewell with her on my last day (that's because I myself didn't know that day would be my last day.) LONG STORY. You see as usual I tendered my resignation bla bla~~questioning by managers "eh..y leave la??" this and that reason given..reason accepted..resignation accepted. (Take note that this happen on a Friday). I was supposed to serve a full 30 days notice but the company decided to offer me an early release, probably afraid that I might be a bad influence to others & fear that I'll grab all the P&C things and scurry off to hide. Anyway, they paid me for the early release and I also get paid for my remainining annual leaves. Isn't that great!! I love it. But the bloody thing that got on my nerve was that they only informed me about the early release on a MONDAY EVENING 5.35 PM TO BE EXACT!! and I'm given like what 25 MINS to pack my stuffs I have accumulated over 2 and a half years??!!?? WTF!! Can't help cursing while smiling as I was just worrying bout doing my handover list but now I don't need to do it. HAHA. But still I can't help cursing. And the thing that got on my nerve the most was that the eunuch was standing there while me and Fumoffu was packing eyeing on us like an eagle watching its prey. GOD!! It's really proven IT (can neither categorize as a male or female thus decided to categorize as IT). I know i know. I'm evil. BUT not as evil as IT. Oh I almost forgot 1 of the important thing which I believe would make everyone explode. The eunuch was supposed to be on leave!! and came back just to kick us out. IT didn't even allow us to take the name cards we collected with us .NMCB!! What right does IT have to not allow us to take the name cards?? The cards belongs to us anyway!! IT answered that the cards belong to the company as we were representing the company when we collected them and that we can have a photocopy!! Damn!! IT had the cheeks to say those. FINE..don't wanna argue. By all means go ahead with the cards (But Lamb & Mantou Lui managed to smuggle the name cards back for us. Haha. You THIEFS!!) Anyway, after packing and all we managed to borrow a trolley from our dear friend Yun-Yun. He too was shocked by the story. SO DRAMATIC~~haha..can turn it into a movie..probably can earn some roti canai money from there. HAHA. Anyway, me & Fumoffu only used 1 trolley..not too bad. Mrs Fly alone had to use 1 trolley and all of us had hand carries belonging to her with us. I suppose Mr Fly was quite shocked to see the boxes of personal belongings his wife had accumulated over the years. (Anyway, Mrs Fly story was even more dramatic thanks to the eunuch and the tayar buruk. Long story though probably some other time I might have the mood to share it). Anyway, the dreadful days were over, I had collected my last pay cheque and left the company for good. All of a sudden the sky is a nice shade of blue, birds are chirping and even the grass smells nice~~ AHHHH~~~~
Okie. Back to the present. After collecting my car park deposit, I headed off to the HR office to collect my cheque but was informed "Sorry la yang..After lunch only ready la...Pending 1 signature lagi. Tapi confirm hari ini boleh dapat. Nanti ready I call you la". NMCCB!!KNN!! Anyway, don't wannt spoil my day so me & Fumoffu just smiled to her and calmly said "Okie..". Then together with Mrs Fly we headed off to McD for some money saving session with the Mc Value Lunch!! Yummy~~ The outlet was so packed and we had to wait for 2 tables as there were 9 of us. Mantou Lui ate the most. She had a Mc Nugget set (LARGE) & chocolate sundae. Wonder where all the food went to?? Anyway, lunch was great (with lots and lots of McD french fries)..usual la...gossips when these few 8 po and 1 pat kong sit together..HAHA..
Look at the mountain of french fries..HAHA..Time to dig in~~
After some gossips, it was 2.00 PM. Time for prison inmates to return to respective cells. So off they went. Me & Fumoffu went for the beloved shopping sessions. Haha. As usual, shopping queen go out cannot go home empty handed. But the things were worthy and affordable (NEVER use the word cheap. Always use affordable. Haha). Lets have a guess from the below picture how much everything costs?? Haha.

Pastel Yellow Cotton dress with Purple Flower Prints

Cotton top and Shimmer Leggings (Sold Seperately)

Scarf

Now make a wild guess!! Time given is 20 Seconds..Now don't cheat..Guess before you start scrolling down...

Pasta Zanmai @ 1 Utama

Over the weekend, after completing the final touch ups of the room paint, Vince and me decided to head out for a hearty meal to award ourselves. Due to some cravings for pasta, I was pouncing around telling Vince to bring me to Pasta Zanmai and he agreed. ~Slurp~ Pasta Zanmai had such a small entrance and if it wasn’t for Shojikiya I would’ve just passed by without noticing. At the entrance both of us browsed through the menu and he nodded away agreeing to whatever I wish to eat. Hehe. Thank you lou gong..Muaxx~~ The area was quite small (probably only able to cater for less than 30) as it was tucked behind Shojikiya (the Japanese grocery store) but the place was cozy and quiet. Since both of us were almost starving we decided to go for pasta, rice and pizza. Also as usual, I could never ever say no to handrolls so I went for the usual soft shell crab handroll and Vince went for the smoked salmon handroll. They provide an option for the handroll to go with either seaweed or tortilla wrap. Both of us went for the standard seaweed wrap. Probably try the tortilla wrap the next visit. There were so many different pastas for us to choose from and they all look so delicious. So we skipped the pasta choice first and went to rice section. The variety of rice was much less and Vince was immediately attracted to one of the pictures, the meat sauce omelette rice. There wasn’t much variety of pizza as well but there was this picture of the pizza with prawn topping and being prawn lovers we need not think much and made our decision. Then we went back to the variety of pastas. There was this short clam and mushroom soup pasta that seemed very yummy and was quite keen to try but the sesame sauce pastas seem to attract me more so I decided we should go for the ebi tempura pasta with sesame sauce. As for the drinks, Vince wanted to try out the Simply Strawberry (smoothie) while I wanted the Iced Fruit Tea. Unfortunately, the smoothie was out of stock thus we went for a jug of Iced Fruit Tea instead.

Meat Sauce Omelette Rice

The tomato rice inside was actually quite nice when ate together with the egg and the sauce. But after several mouthful, we soon feel we had too much tomato but we still ended up gobbling down everything.

Ebi Tempura Pasta with Sesame Sauce Set (Set comes with Miso Soup & Salad)

Black & White Sesame

I gotta admit this was one of the best pasta I had ever tasted. The sesame blends nicely with the cream based sauce and every mouth is full of wonders and the pasta texture is nice not over cooked or too raw. Can't wait for the next visit to try out their other pastas. The salad and miso soup was just average.

Ebi Pizza. Ways to eat it : (1) Either with the chopsticks (2) just use your hands

Pizza was not too bad. Toppings consists of something I suppose it's squid, Jap rice cake, prawns, mushrooms (lots of diff mushrooms) and cheese. Was quite yummy but Vince found the mushroom taste too raw for his likings.

Jug of Iced Fruit Tea

My favourite drink at Pasta Zanmai. Will only settle for this drink at every chance I get to enter the shop.

Initially, we wanted to go for dessert when we saw the desserts menu, but there don't seem to be any more room left in our tummies for dessert. And as usual at the end of the meal we look at each other and ask "HOW TO KURUS LIKE THAT??" and the roar out in laughter..Haha. Sigh...I don't know how I can lose weight this way. Haha.

Room Painting..

Recently me n Vince decided to give his room a new coat of paint. So we headed off to the DIY shop and bought a tin of 7 litre Nippon Paint. Upon arriving at the shop we were offered a huge variety of paints with it's own uniqueness fro spotless to odourless. And out of nowhere we saw some paints tucked at a corner with different packaging. Instead of the metal tin with beautiful pictures of houses, these paints come in plastic containers and does not potray any beautiful houses. Only it's logo was printed on the containers together with the code and the name of the colour. For some unknown reasons, such paint do not have a catalogue so we were trying to make out what type of colours are inside the containers. There were several options like bluebells, forget me not etc. Being our first time buying paint for the room we spent some time going through either to go for the higher range fancy paints in nice packaging and thick catalogues to choose from (but costing approx RM130 for 5 litres ) or to go for the plastic container paints and risk getting a colour we would laugh our heads off after removing the lid (but cost us less than RM40 for 7 litres). Haha. Pity the 2 salesperson that were assisting us. Me and Vince was babbling away in Mandarin and they were standing there waiting for our decisions to be made as they were there to assist us should we go for the fancy paints. I almost went for the fancy paints but the miser inside us kept telling us to just go for the affordable type. Hence, we diverted our attention to the RM40 for 7 litre paints. From the names, we tried to figure out the type of colours inside the containers. Eg. Bluebells should be somewhere between blue and purple, forget me not should be a green shade, corn yellow MUST BE yellow and highland sky probably could be some sky blue colour with a hint of green. I opted for the highland sky and told the sales person to bring it to the counter directly so I wouldn't change my mind.
We painted the room for a few days. Did some cleaning. But the end result was good. The colour was nice. As expected sky blue with a hint of green. I did some painting but apparently I seem to have got a F grade for my painting skills thus was given the tasks for cleaning up and to wipe sweat, bring water and also play FB while Vince was painting. Tough job eh. Haha. The room was initially white witha tone of grey below. We did not scrap the old paint so we just cleaned the wall with sponge and water then proceed with the painting works after taping all the window frames and other notto be painted items.
Before

Vince doing some stunt...painting while fan still moving...Haha.

After

While he was painting I was doing the cleaning. Could not believe my eyes. Some of the areas were so dirty as it was hidden under the bed. Haha. My legs were so black and I had to go on all fours to scrub the floor. But I only scrubbed partially and Vince told me to leave it, he'll use the mop to clean it later. And I proceed to my FB sessions and water feeding and sweat wiping.

Before

After

Before

After

Overall, the whole process was tiring but it was fun. There were times where arguements arise and there were sulky moments and harsh comments, but it was not intentionally done so we just pushed it aside. Can't wait for our next DIY project.

ToiToi is now a star

Today RK send me a link from the national newspaper. I clicked on it and got a surprise of my life. Toi Toi is up in the papers for his heroic quest to escape which I had earlier blogged HERE. Apparently my sister had sent the photograph to the papers for a chance to obtain some extra spending money but it seems luck was not on her side. Haha. But it was a good try anyway.
